What are the requirements for a CDPAP caregiver?
The caregiver you wish to hire must meet the following requirements:
- They must be at least 18 years of age
- They must be legally allowed to work in the United States
- The cannot be the consumer’s spouse
- They cannot be the consumer’s parent unless the consumer is 21 or older
- They cannot be the consumer’s “designated representative” when the consumer cannot direct their own care
- They must provide any required documentation
